Romania sets the foreign workers quota for 2026 The Romanian Government has established the annual contingent of foreign workers admitted to the labour market for 2026 through Government Decision no. 1169/2025, published on 31 December 2025.   What this means in practice: • The quota for 2026 is set at 90,000 foreign workers • This represents a decrease compared to previous years • No specific subdivisions or categories of work authorizations are defined For employers and foreign nationals alike, this decision underlines the importance of early planning and a clear understanding of the regulatory framework.   At RILVAN Moving & Relocations, we support companies and individuals throughout immigration and employment procedures in Romania.
